Activities & Events for the week beginning Sunday 13th October 2019
Fr Andrew will be saying Mass at S. Luke’s, New Rossingon at 3pm today.
Due to ongoing work in connection with the Re-ordering, there will be NO ‘Tots on Tuesday’, Tuesday Church for Children, nor OMG Youth Group meetings until early November, i.e. after the Half-Term break
On Tuesday, it is our monthly ‘Tea Service for Seniors’ at 2.30pm. This will consist of a short Service followed by Afternoon Tea. If you know of
anyone, neighbour or friend, who might like to come, please speak to Fr. Andrew.
On Wednesday, there will be our usual Coffee Morning after the 9.30 a.m. Mass.
On Wednesday, it is the Monthly Meeting of the Mothers’ Union in Church at 7.00 p.m. This will be the Annual General Meeting & Birthday Party of the Branch, formed 13 years ago. Gill Fellows, the Sheffield Diocesan President, will be a guest at the meeting. All are welcome.
On Friday evening, it is the Patronal Festival of S. Luke’s, New Rossington
at 7pm. The Celebrant and Preacher will be Bishop Martyn Jarrett. We hope
that as many as possible will attend in support of our neighbouring parish
during their extended interregnum.
There will be NO Mass on Saturday morning since Fr. Andrew is away.
Next Sunday there will be NO 8 a.m. Mass, the Parish Mass is at 10 a.m.
Our Bonfire Party will be on Tuesday 5th November. Please give your names to Jeff Nadin. Tickets are £10.00 each.
Our Christmas Lunch will be held in Church on Sunday 15th December
at 2.00 p.m. We will be using outside caterers who will produce a
3-course meal with choices. Price £21.00 per head. We shall use the
occasion for a ‘Grand Opening’ of our re-ordered Church. Jane will be taking names of those who wish to reserve a place from today. Payment will be required at a later date.
Walsingham Day Pilgrimage on Saturday 20th June, please sign up if you’d like to go, there is a list at the back of church.
