Activities & Events for the week beginning Sunday 18th August 2019

Fr. Andrew will be Celebrating Mass at Saint Luke’s, New Rossington at 12 noon today.

Our Traditional Afternoon Tea will be held in Church this afternoon from 3.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.

On Tuesday at 11am, here at S. Wilfrid’s is the Mothers’ Union, Deanery Wave of Prayer. There will be a short service followed by coffee. Everyone is welcome.

On Tuesday, it is our ‘Tea Service for Seniors’ at 2.30pm. This will
consist of a short Service followed by Afternoon Tea. If you know of
anyone, neighbour or friend, who might like to come, please speak to Fr. Andrew.

On Wednesday, there will be our usual Coffee Morning after
the 9.30 a.m. Mass.

On Saturday, Matthew James Sawdon & Hannah Elizabeth Gammons
will be married by Fr. Andrew at 11.00 a.m.

Next Sunday Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. and the Parish Mass at 10am.

On Thursday 29th August at 7pm it is the Patronal Festival at Saint John The Baptist, Mexborough. Some of you may wish to attend to support Fr. Edward. There is a poster about it in the porch.

On Saturday 7th September there will be a Concert in Church by the Doncaster Ladies Choir, commencing at 7.00 p.m., with their guest Soloist, mezzo soprano Beverley Davis-Clegg. Tickets at £7.00 each, including refreshments, are available from Geraldine Jones (Telephone: 01302 532296).

In the near future, the pews in the north extension will be taken out to start the re-ordering process. If anyone would like to purchase one of them, or even 2 people splitting one for a garden seat, please tell Jeff Nadin asap, so that they can be reserved for you.
