Soap Coins
We heard the story of the Widow's mite, how by giving two coins she was the most generous giver. We carved designs into our soap disks to make them into coins
The Lost Sheep
The first story we looked at, we wound wool round our sheep and learned that even if there are millions of other children out there, each of us is precious to God.
Wise Man built his House upon a Rock
To help us remember this story we built a paper house and put it on a rock. We discussed the ways that Jesus tells us to live our lives and how he can be a rock for us to build our lives on.
The Parable of the Talents
We made little felt pouches and in them put coins marked with our talents to remind us to use our talents wisely.
The Loaves and Fishes
We coloured in loaves and fishes, and wrote a memory verse on the back "All things are possible with God".
The Forgiving Servant
We made spinners and coloured them in, so when the were spun you could see the girl in the middle was forgiven and forgave.
Tin Foil fish
We looked at the story of Jesus telling the fishermen to cast their nets on the other side of the boat and talked about why the fishermen followed Jesus.
The Prodigal Son
We made doors to remind us that we'd always be welcome in God's home, even if we think we're not good enough.
The Good Samaritan
We told the story of the Good Samaritan and made friendship bracelets to remind us to be good friends to everyone.
